  • [11-26-1] No proof provided that food employees are informed of their responsibility to report to the person in charge information about their health and activities related to foodborne illnesses. One new employee observed at front counter. Operator was unaware of employee responsibility to report illness. Provided DBPR Form HR 5030-103 to operator. Operator printed form and had employee sign form during inspection.
  • [12A-07-5] Employee failed to wash hands before putting on gloves to initiate a task working with food. Observed employee push down trash with gloved hands. Employee then removed gloves and started to put on new ones. Inspector stopped employee and informed him of proper handwashing techniques. Employee then was hands to resume operations.
  • [14-11-5] Equipment in poor repair. Gaskets in poor repair inside reach-in cooler at prep area.
  • [23-03-4] Nonfood-contact surface soiled with grease, food debris, dirt, slime or dust. Gaskets soiled in reach-in cooler on sandwich assembly area.
  • [53B-13-5] Proof of required state approved employee training not available for some employees. To order approved program food safety material, call DBPR contracted provider: Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association (SafeStaff) 866-372-7233. Owner Mike Kronus with no proof of food handler training. One other employee hired less than 60 days. All other employees have completed food handler training.
